Standards

 

The SSCI is the custodian of the American National Standard for Materials Handling (Containers) -- Steel Drums and Pails, ANSH-MH2 document. To order copies of the ANSI-MH2 click here. For information in U.S. and European Standards, click here.

 

Drum and Fire Tests

 

The SSCI co-sponsored a fire test to effect a change in the Flammable and Combustible Liquids Code (NFPA 30) of the National Fire Protection Association to reflect the performance of steel drums and pails fitted with pressure-relieving devices. A summary and results can be found here.
